SHENZHEN (SE): The international community of St Anthony’s Catholic Church, Nonglin Road, Futian district, Shenzhen, came together to celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost on May 24. The Mass was celebrated by Father Francis Xavier Tian Lu.

In related news, Pope Leo XIV also observed the World Day of Prayer for the Church in China, which, he noted, coincides with the feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians, who is venerated “with profound devotion” at the Shrine of Sheshan in Shanghai, Vatican News reported.
“Let us join our prayers with those of Chinese Catholics, as a sign of our affection for them and of their communion with the universal Church and with the Successor of Peter, the pope prayed after the Regina Caeli.
“May the intercession of the Queen of Heaven grant the believing community in China the grace of unity and give everyone the strength to witness the Gospel in their daily struggles, so that they might be seeds of hope and peace. In particular, I invoke eternal peace for the victims of the recent mining accident in northern China.”
The foundation for St. Anthony’s Catholic Church was laid in April 1998, and it was completed in December 2001.
The church has four Sunday Masses (主日弥撒), at 9:00 am on Sunday, and 11:00 am on Sunday (English), and 7:00pm on Sunday(English), and 7:00 pm on Saturday. It also has weekday Masses (平日弥撒) at 7:00am from Monday to Saturday, according to Wikipedia.
