Faithful gather around the Jubilee cross at St. Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, on December 29.
(SE): On the morning of December 29, during the Feast of the Holy Family, St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland, was filled with both local and international worshippers who gathered for Mass celebrated by Archbishop Leo Cushley of St. Andrews and Edinburgh.
During the service, Archbishop Cushley inaugurated the Jubilee Year 2025 by blessing a specially commissioned cross, which was then processed and placed in the Chapel of St. Andrew. Everyone was invited to pray and to make a pilgrimage—either individually or in groups—throughout the jubilee year, encouraging others to join them.
